He began with a stick of pure white hard candy. White to symbolize the Virgin birth and the sinless nature of Jesus, and hard to symbolize the Solid Rock, the foundation of the Church, and the firmness of the promises of God.
The candymaker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Savior. It could also represent the staff of the "Good Shepherd" with which He reaches down into the ditches of the world to lift out the fallen lambs who, like all sheep, have gone astray.
Thinking that the candy was somewhat plain, the candymaker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes to show the stripes of the scourging Jesus received by which we are healed. The large red stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross so that we could have the promise of eternal life.
Unfortunately, the candy became known as Candy Cane, a meaningless decoration seen at Christmas time. But the meaning is still there for those who "have eyes to see and ears to hear." I pray that this symbol will again be used to witness To The Wonder of Jesus and His Great Love that came down at Christmas and remains the ultimate and dominant force in the universe today.

My, this episode was great. Oh, designing clothes for Barbie! My childhood playmate for the longest time. What a unique challenge!
My favourite design is short skirt in gorgeous baby blue. The model looks extremely dolly in that outfit. Alas, this is not the winning piece. But the winner really win hands down. The colour co-ordination is great with rainbows of colours yet not gaudy. The model looks cheery and funky! As for the design that got kicked out, it's understandable. The jacket look so granny with gold buttons. The dress is even worse with patchwork of funny orange little flowers. Totally off for me!
Anyway, I am enjoying it and hope the next episode will be even more entertaining.

Maybe I will get a new phone since I saw one I fancied. But I just can't make up my mind yet. The wishy washy virus is attacking my brain again. Looking back, I feel that the older my folks are, the more paranoid they have become. I wonder has this got to do with age or what?! Dad wanted to apply for the utility of the new flat nad Mum is halfway through her packing. Mind you, they keys are not in our hands now. Worse of all, Mum's nagging had been increasingly more and the sessions getting longer as the new flat is approaching. I think she is suffering from "shifting anxiety".
If you ask me, am I excited about it? Not really, considering I am moving to a relatively new area. When I say new, I mean more hassle to getting to other places especially food venues.
Sign... I am suffering from "shifting depression".

1. Brought Maggie for a walk. She had so much poo which is understandable for two days accumulation.
2. Had a nice bath. But the sunny weather brought sweat all over me real soon. Sign...
3. Changed my blog template.
4. Prepared my Saturday teaching stuff. Thanks to Faith for helping out on item 3 and 4 above. :)
5. Had chicken rice for dinner. It was yummy!
6. Overdosed on potato chips today! I am a "sinner" for breaking off my water-melon diet. Must repent!
7. Got a big scare from Xiao Hua (lizard) as I saw him on the toilet wall. Yikes!!!
8. Got a little headache now...
THE END
1. I lost my handphone while shopping at Sun Plaza. I also can't recall how I lost it. So I have been using my sister-in-law handphone. If you SMS me and I asked who are you, you know why now.
2. I can't believe it! I actually won a prize in a lucky draw. Oh, I was browsing Cleo December 2005 issue and out of fun, I SMS in to take part in a Bodynits contest. I have long forgotten about it till one white envelope arrived in my mailbox last month. I gave the prized bag to Mum and saved the $10 shopping voucher for myself. Ke! Ke!
3. My current flat is sold and the process is completed. Keys collection to the new flat will take place within these few days. Based on conservative estimation, I should be moving in by mid July.
4. I have managed to memorize the new address. Actually half of it. I am still struggling with the unit no and postal code.
5. I have picked up jogging again and my heels hurt sometimes after I do so. Wonder if I have got heelspur? Oh no!
6. I had just finished reading a book entitled "Perfect Match" by Jodi Picoult. It's a nice read on a mother who takes justice into her own hands when she finds out that her son is being sexually abused. The end has a twist to it which still left me go "What!".
7. I am currently reading a book entitled "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. He is a good suspense writer who knows how to keep you chasing for the truth. My advice is read it with an open mind and take it as a non-fiction book.
8. I have resumed my water melon diet. Let me elaborate you on it. It simply means instead of snacking on junk food, I replaced it with water melon. It's really good! I get a good dosage of healthy fibre and water at the same time. The best part it is fat-free and you feel really full eating it. Hence, you don't overeat at meals.
9. I discovered a good and cheap sheet mask at Watsons. The brand is Purederm and it is sold one sheet per pack. I tried the Anti-Aging Collagen Mask which replenishes and hydrates. Well not really suitable for oily skin because it may be a little too sticky after you removed it. Put it in the fridge before you use it and it will be wonderfully refreshing.
10. The Face Shop nail polishes are better than the ones sold at Missha. Reason 1 - It is cheaper at $2.50 per bottle. Reason 2 - It is easier to apply.
11. The last and best part of my update. I will be doing my packing for the new flat soon. Hence, I will be giving away my stuff totally FREE. Books, magazines, clothes, shoes etc... I will update on this once I had them in good order my categories.

2. Women will have the same bust size. No long queues at the lingerie changing rooms. And you will never end up buying the wrong size too. Ke! Ke!
3. Humans will have blue eyes, blue skin and blue nails. I am a blue lover!
4. Tears will be a form of good DIY medicine. You can apply it for mosquito’s bites, burns, cuts. Alternatively, you can drink it to ease diarrhea or food poisoning. Cry if you are sick!
5. Fart will be odorless. You shall still hear it for fun sake!
6. The sun rays will never spots your skin. Ditch the sun screen lotion!
7. Eating chocolates will be as good as eating veggies. A new yummy form of health supplement!
8. Veggies shall all be green in color. No more purple brinjals, yellow pumpkins and white cauliflowers.
9. Underground roots like carrots, tapiocas and groundnuts will emerge from ground automatically once ripe. This saves the hassle of digging!
10. Humans will live in mushroom shaped cottages and wear white pants and caps. Yes, I am a smurf Goddess!

What a bad Monday! Arggh! Monday is always the bad start. First, it is the bad start working day. Secondly, more patients in the hospitals drop dead. This is true from a survey. I am not kidding.
I am looking forward to Wednesday. Wednesday is Movie day!!! (skipping around in excitement) Oh ya, I have to sms the two cousins to confirm the timing for the movie.
The best crap I received during the weekend was:
1. Faith has this sneaky habit of pinching from Terry’s dog snacks especially the chocolates and fries. Teck Seng added if she actually made Caesar sandwich too! Ha! Ha! Ha!
2. The Yangzhou fried rice from Far East Plaza is bland beyond description. Please over dose the rice with lots of green chilli and soya sauce for your own seasoning. The conclusion “I can cook better!”

Today's topic for discussion over Class 95 FM was one-night stand. A survey was conducted and 90% of women responded it was done out of desperation or drunknesses. For me I believed it's both. Desperation leads to drinking and followed by drunkeness and you know...Tsk tsk tsk!!!
Anyway the weather is really stuffy now. I didn't go for the jog. The procastionation bug bited me this morning while I was in bed. If the weather is fine this evening, I may just do so.
Hmm...here's a summary of what I ate yesterday. Just for tracking sake!
1. Breakfast : A mug of milo
2. Lunch: KFC O.R fillet burger meal set with whipped potato and pepsi
3. Dinner: Maggi instant porridge
4. Supper: Two chicken wings, a mug of milo, some grapes
Looks like I got to leave out devouring chicken today. But I had a chicken bun this morning. Oops, too late! Oh ya, I had better finished up the pears in the fridge before they start to rot. What should I have for lunch? Let's see1 But definitely no veggies for me. I am a meat lover!!!
THE END
I managed to type that letter to HDB today. Alas, I can't print it out. Arggh, the printer is having Monday blues!!! Never mind, I will try later. Moving house is really a hassle. I have not start packing yet. I don't know what to do with those unwanted but fairly new stuff. Let's see how...
I have been away from 2 days and Maggie smells so horrible. She needs a bath! But before that I have to eat my lunch first. Sembawang is such a bad place for good food. I can see myself losing weight gradually. The only good thing is it is quieter. No screaming kids and Aunties talking with surround sound high pitched volume. The neighbourhood is clean too. I like the park but going there to jog can kill me. I need to walk half an hour (my speed not Angela's) to get there. The other time, I saw a few old folks brisk walking plus a few ladies doing yoga at a corner. I will try the tracks tomorrow. I discovered the park during my jog last week. Hee! Hee! Hee! Hee!
Ok time for lunch! I am hungry.
THE END
But I am glad that she did well for her performance. I enjoyed her songs.Smses between Dawn and me were flying all over while the show was on. I bet Pasir Ris was flooded last night with someone's drool. Hee! Hee! Hee!
The winner deserves the champion title. Good performance for Zhiyang! He saved our national pride. Phew! I was so scared that the coconut tree from Taiwan will win. No!!! Please!!!
Anyway, I noticed two things throughout all the CSS shows. Convent gals really need to go for grooming course. They sat with their legs wide open on national TV. Very ugly! Teresa had this obvious moustache obvious her lips. I guess she needs to go for threading.
Anyway the conclusion is Geraldine is still the Campus superstar in my heart. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
THE END
I am reading a new book now. The author is Fil Anderson and the book is entitled “Running on empty”. I liked this poem the minute I read it. It speaks so well of how much we have advanced to improve our lifestyle. Ironically, our quality of life has been eroded along the way. It reminds me to take time to wait upon the Lord and hear from Him amidst the noise from the crowd.
We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life;
We’ve added years to life, not life to years.
We’ve cleared up the air, but polluted the soul.
We’ve split the atom, but not our prejudice.
We plan more, but accomplish less.
We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait.
These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers,
Thrown-aways morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies,
And pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.
It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom.
